Village Talk: Stay Healthy with Stamps (4:30 PM)

Postage stamps, although small, can send much information about famous individuals, historic events, current topics, and a wide range of other subjects. For example, over the years, thousands of stamps have been issued worldwide celebrating all aspects of the study of medicine.

Henry Lukas presents a Zoom program featuring a number of these stamps and their connection to medicine. He will highlight recent stamps about Covid-19, stamps about other devastating worldwide diseases, famous doctors and nurses, stamps issued to raise funds for medical research, famous hospitals and United Nation stamps explaining the work of the WHO.

About Henry
Henry has been the Education Director at the Spellman Museum of Stamps & Postal History at Regis College in Weston since 2004.
