Your Midmonth Village Update

Dear Villagers,

Last month we provided instructions to make it easier for members to log into the secure Member Portal of the Greater Newburyport Village website. If you want to revisit those instructions, click this link.

This month we remind members where to go to see scheduled Village events and how to sign up for the events that require registrations. 

To see the calendar of Village events:

  1. Open the Greater Newburyport Village Home Page.
    Result: See all upcoming events listed in the right column.
  2. Click on a specific event to see the details.
  3. Click the Event Calendar tab to see the calendar of all events in the current month.
  4. Click the arrows on either side of the month title to view events for other months.
To register for events that require registrations:
  1. Click Member Login at the top right of the home page.
    Note:
    - If you previously elected to have the Village website remember you, the site logs you in automatically. You know you're logged in when you see your name in the upper right corner and you see information only available to members, such as the Membership Directory.
    - If you did not previously check "Remember me on this computer," enter your username and password and then click Login.

  2. When you are logged in, click the Event Calendar tab.
  3. Click the event for which you want to register.
  4. Click Register Now at the bottom of the page.
  5. Follow the prompts until you click Complete Registration.
Upcoming Village Events

Note: If you cannot attend an event you registered for, remember to make room for someone else by canceling either from the calendar or by calling (978) 206-1821.

Summer Barbecue Alert for members and active volunteers: Be on the lookout for your emailed invitation to this event on Thursday, July 17 (4:00 PM). The invitation will explain how to register since it is not the usual calendar registration process.

Do you have an item you want to donate, lend, or borrow? Email services@greaternewburyportvillage.org and include your name, phone number, the item description, and whether you want to donate, lend, or borrow it.

Important Reminders

  • When requesting services, please...
    • Call the Village number (not a volunteer directly) between the hours of 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
    • Call 48 hours prior to the date of service to give volunteers time to respond.
  •  If you need help with groceries, call the Village to request a Market Basket gift certificate.
  •  Click here if you have an interest you'd like to share with other Villagers.
