Dear Villagers,
In 2021 Villagers created a garden in hardened soil on the rail trail along the Merrimack River. The work required turning over the cement-like ground, bringing in topsoil, planting hardy pollinator plants that would withstand proximity to the river and strong winds, and watering throughout dry spells every summer (thank you, members Clarice and Benedict Andreozzi!).

Well established now, you can visit the Village garden that sits across from the osprey sculpture. Member Maria Sterk tends the garden, weeding, snail watching, adding colorful flowering plants, and greeting walkers, who often express their appreciation as they enjoy the beauty of our Village garden.
