Member Trip: Ride Boston's Greenway Carousel

VILLAGE MEMBER EVENT : Trip to Boston to ride the Greenway Carousel

A trip into Boston to visit, and ride on, the Carousel on the Rose Kennedy Greenway with thirty-six seats designed after animals native to Massachusetts. For those of you who came to our Village Talk in May you will have heard Jeff Briggs, the designer, sculptor, and art director for this one-of-a-kind carousel, talk about the work involved in creating the fourteen different creatures.

We will drive into Boston and ride the Carousel. Those who wish can walk on the amazing Greenway and enjoy the gardens designed by the Arnold Arboretum. Because there may not be food carts in late September, people should bring a brown bag lunch. Wear walking shoes; the walking distance is under ½ mile.
