Join us for our January Village Talk when Barbara Dowd, Jane Tuohy, and Frances McLaughlin share stories, images, and photographs of their recent trip to Tanzania. Learn how Tanzania is a land of contrasts where ancient tribal ways and modern life co-exist, as do impoverished cities and breathtaking, sweeping scenery.

Barbara, Jane, and Frances were in Tanzania to support the work of Africa Asante Foundation (AAF), which supports young people in rural communities where opportunities are scarce.
Barbara’s photographs communicate the beauty and pleasure she experiences in travel and exploration of changing natural and human landscapes. A former board development consultant, trainer, educator, and current Villager, Barbara developed financial literacy and entrepreneurship programs for girls and young women. Barbara’s photographs are stunning!
