Members: Museum Tour: Rocky Hill Meeting House (10:00 AM)
Built in 1785 by the people of West Salisbury, the Rocky Hill Meeting House was the site of Sunday services as well as town meetings. Now owned by Historic New England, the building’s spacious interior is considered the best preserved example of a 17th century New England meeting house. Highlights include unpainted box pews, a high pulpit, and large gallery as well as graffiti left by generations of visitors. The tour focusses on the history and architecture of the building with plenty of time for questions.
