Dear Village Members & Volunteers,
The Village sends all of you our best wishes, hoping that you are well and coping with the loss of social interactions during this time. We also hope you find relief as restrictions ease and normalcy starts to return. But as things relax and we experience better weather, it is important to continue following sensible safety practices to protect yourself and others from infection. Please don’t let your guard down!
I want to remind you that we are here for you. Although we have temporarily suspended in-person services, we will install window air conditioners since these are essential for our Villagers' health.
And as we are all paying larger grocery bills and household expenses due to the pandemic, we are aware that these increases are more difficult for those with fixed incomes. If you are having a hard time keeping up with bills such as utilities, telephone, or unexpected costs such as car repairs, I encourage you to reach out in complete confidence by calling my cell phone at 617-799-1215, emailing me at executivedirector@greaternewburyportvillage.org, or contacting a board member.
I always keep my eye out in the hope of seeing you on my daily walks on the rail trail or riverfront. I'm the masked man with a cane and no dog!
