Your Tuesday Village Update #14

June 30, 2020

Dear Villagers,

The Village has defined our current service guidelines in response to the second phase of the reopening of Massachusetts. Please read Limited Reopening Guidelines for the Greater Newburyport Village to understand what services may be offered and what safety requirements must be followed to protect members and volunteers.

And speaking of safety measures, the FDA warns consumers not to use hand sanitizers that contain methanol, a wood alcohol that is dangerous to human health. Please read the article to verify that you are not using brands with methanol.

And on a lighter note, have you selected your gift from the Village? If not, make your selection now!

Testimonial from satisfied attendee Elizabeth DeGrenier: "Dear Village, I am so pleased you have extended Chris Morton’s chair yoga for another month. I highly recommend this zoom program to anyone; it is as gentle as you wish to make it. I have had two hip surgeries and a knee replacement and I have found it to be very helpful in keeping me flexible. Give it a try, you are in your own home and have privacy if that is important to you. Chris leads very relaxing meditations and has good hints for getting through these trying times."

A Little Pandemic Humor

Maxine
is the gal everyone loves and admires.

John Wagner, Hallmark artist since 1970, says Maxine was inspired by his mother, his maiden aunts, and his grandmother, the woman who bought him art lessons when 'fill in the pumpkins' was about the extent of his art classes at St. John's Catholic School in Leonia, N.J.

Click this link to learn more about Maxine's creator and to get lots of advice from Maxine herself.
